Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These terms are an agreement between you and Numize SAS, a French société par actions simplifiée registered with the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 941 136 087, with its registered office at 11 place Charles Michels, 75015 Paris, France ("Matys", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you use Matys for an organization, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.

2. The service

Matys is an AI data analyst. It connects to the data sources you choose, such as databases, warehouses, code repositories and business apps, and answers your questions with charts, dashboards, reports and files. You can use it in the web app, in Slack, on WhatsApp and through compatible AI clients.

3. Accounts and access

• Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• Keep your credentials secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Organization admins decide who joins their workspace and what each member can do.
• Tell us at once if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

• connect data you have no right to use, or use the service against the law or the rights of others
• try to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours, or test the security of the service without our written permission
• disrupt the service, overload it, or get around its usage limits
• copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product
• use the service to produce or spread malware, spam, or unlawful or harmful content

5. Your data

You keep all rights to the data you connect or upload and to the content you create with Matys. You give us the rights we need to host, process and display it in order to run the service for you. We do not use your data to train AI models. How we process personal data, and which sub-processors we rely on, is described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to connect each data source, and for the access you grant. We recommend read-only credentials limited to the data Matys needs.

6. AI output

Answers, charts, dashboards and files are generated by AI from your data and may be incomplete or wrong. Check them before you rely on them, in particular for financial, legal or other important decisions. You are responsible for how you use them.

7. Third-party integrations

When you connect a third-party service, such as Slack, WhatsApp, GitHub or an app connector, your use of it is also governed by that provider's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and an integration may change or stop if the provider changes its service.

8. Fees and billing

• Paid plans and their prices are shown in the product when you subscribe. They are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, which processes your payment details.
• A free trial ends on the date shown in the product. To keep using the service after it, choose a paid plan.
• Each plan includes a usage allowance. When it is used up, we may limit the service until the next billing period or until you change plan.
• If a payment fails, we may suspend access after telling you. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
• We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you before a change applies to you.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Matys available and secure, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a feature you rely on in a significant way, we will tell you in advance where we can.

10. Termination

You can stop using Matys and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. After closure, we delete your content as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated in these terms, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of AI output.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Paris, France, unless the law gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and notify you by email or in the product before a material change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, you accept the new terms.
